How to Find Things in the Courses

If you're not sure where something is inside the course, this article will teach you how to find things.

Ever come across a question while going through the practice and you’re not sure where to find the answer? You have an inkling or a vague idea of the concept, but you just can’t seem to locate it in the insurance course.

It’s a common problem with an easy solution: CTRL + F (or its Mac equivalent).

Once you’ve downloaded the note package, you can search the entire PDF for your keyword or concept. But there is an art to it. Instead of looking for the entire keyword, try to look for root words or part of the word.

For example, if you’re looking to learn more about the liability of occupiers, you can do a search for “occu”. This casts a wider net and will turn up results for occupier, occupant, occupancy, etc.

If that doesn’t work, you can try looking for related keywords. Once you’ve located the concept in the notes, you can use it to track down the lecture slide and review that as well. In most cases, that’ll answer your question.

I hope this helps. In the worst case scenario, if you can’t find the concept or need help with the insurance course, get in touch. I’d be happy to help.
